Today I biked to work for the second time this summer.
It was harder than the first. When I began my bike ride this morning the sun had already been out for a couple of hours. So it was pretty hot all the way to work. Secondly, there was an extreme wind to pushing along me the entire way. I made it though, about 25 minutes later than I expected. And I felt sort of ill when I got there.

The ride back was pretty awesome. It was already dark and I guess I didn't realize the Greenway didn't have lights. That little bit of secluded forestry path can be kind of scary in the darkness. I survived it though and maybe in record breaking time -- 45 minutes?

I second that. Kleen Kanteen is one brand I've seen around and it's being touted as one of the safest (healthwise & environmentally).

I have been looking for stainless steel water bottles and all I can find are plastic...I finally gave in and just bought plastic. I am now going to google this Kleen Kanteen and see if my luck forever changes :)

I just keep re-using an old .5 liter Cub bottled-water water bottle. It fits in my holder (unless I'm cornering really fast) and makes water taste like water.

If you go north, you're more likely to see the aurora. There's really nothing worth seeing in SD.

I also reuse my water/pop etc bottles but I don't put water in them I make my own sports drink.

Twin Cities green store (23rd and hennepin) sells the aluminum bottles with or with a twist top thing or with a waterbottle drinking top.
